Elementary Band Students
I have set up a google classroom for band. Please check your school email and accept the invitation from me. I will have assignments and music on there for you.

Week two: The second assignment is also to practice for 15-20 minutes this week. I have an easy form for you to fill out that will let me know that you practiced. I want you to listen to the song "Mighty Empire." I also want you to try to play it. The links are on google classroom.

Week four: The fourth assignment is to keep practicing. I took a different approach this week. I have added recordings of me playing the songs from your book. Please play with the recordings
Week five: Since most of you requested that I send a new song and some video's to help with your book songs that is what I did. "Dance of the Jabberwocky" is our new song, I aslo included video's of #85, #86 and page 20 from your books.
Week six The Some military bands have new devoted sites for kids that can't see their teachers during this time. It is full of great video's for band kids. This weeks assignment is to watch some of those instructional educational instrumental videos. I have included links to the Army band site, the Marine band site and the Navy band site.
Week seven -eight: This week the students are to record themselves playing one of the songs that I have given out during break. The students are to email their recordings to me.

The assignment this week is to watch that 20 minute video. I also encouraged students to keep playing for their recorder belts. We only have a few weeks left and I will send out the certificates for their belt level during the last week of school.
Week eight: last week to turn in songs for recorder belts.
Congrats to those of you who are still earning belts! The information below is about Vocaroo a website kids can earn to play for their belts.
If you want to still earn your belts you can use Vocaroo website www.vocaroo.com. It is a website that lets you record and share your recording with others. Just go on the website and press “Click to Record.” Allow the website to use your microphone and then start recording. You can use this website to play for me. I love getting vocaroo emails. If you are playing for a recorder karate belt you must state your name and the belt you are playing for before you play. For example say “Hi Mrs. Raffaelli, this is Emily playing for my green belt.” If you screw up hit retry, if you like your recording press “Click Here To Save.” Then when the sharing options come up hit email. My email is: [email protected]. You have to put your email(or your parents) in the “from” spot and you can write me a note in the “note” spot if you would like. Then click by the box so the website knows you are not a robot… and press send! I will then listen to your recording and email you back to tell you how you did.
